Blood pressure problems are harmful to the body. Whether it is high or low. It is important to keep blood pressure normal. Just as high blood pressure can be harmful to health, low blood pressure can also be dangerous.
The problem of low blood pressure increases in summer. If you are not careful in time, you may faint due to this. It also causes fatigue and heart disease complications. Therefore, it is important to follow some rules to avoid blood pressure problems-
Why does blood pressure drop in summer?
The main reason for dehydration in hot weather is excessive sweating. Excessive sweating causes a large amount of fluid and electrolytes to be lost from the body. As a result, blood volume decreases, which leads to a drop in blood pressure.
In the heat, blood vessels dilate to maintain blood flow in the body. This can reduce blood pressure. In addition, according to researchers, extreme heat also causes blood vessels to dilate. As a result, blood pressure can drop significantly.
Things to do to keep blood pressure normal in summer:
1. Drink plenty of water:
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. This keeps the body hydrated. The amount of blood in the body is also correct. As a result, the problem of low blood pressure does not arise easily. Along with this, keep lemon juice, coconut water, and ORS in your diet.
2. Replenish sodium deficiency:
Even if you are deficient in sodium in summer, your blood pressure can drop. To make up for this deficiency, add a little salt, buttermilk or cumin powder to lemon water. These drinks help to meet the sodium deficiency. Also, include fruits like watermelon, cucumber, orange, and papaya in your diet.
