RDJA handover meeting held

The handover meeting of the new committee of the Rangpur Division Journalists Association, Dhaka (RDJA) has been held. The meeting was organized at the organization's office on Topkhana Road in the capital on Wednesday (September 24, 2025).

At the meeting, outgoing president Mortuza Haider Liton urged the newly elected committee to be ready to face the challenges ahead and congratulated everyone.

He said, "The newly elected committee has a lot of responsibilities on its shoulders. We have to move forward consciously and in a planned manner to face the new challenges."

Newly elected president Baten Biplob said in his speech that RDJA will not only protect the interests of professional media workers, but will also work for the development of the people of Rangpur Division.

He said, "We, along with the members of the organization, will take various initiatives in the future such as housing, development seminars, professional skill enhancement, life insurance for members, and providing scholarships to the children of deceased members."

Mortuza Haider Liton presided over the meeting and General Secretary Imrul Kawsar Emon conducted it. The function was attended by senior members Makshudar Rahman Maksud, Tofazzal Hossain, Matlu Mallick, Mizan Chowdhury, Mashiur Rahman, AKM Shamshujohas, newly elected committee vice-president Habibur Rahman, Rashed ul Haque Sarkar, joint secretary Masud bin Abdur Razzak, finance secretary Quader Babu, office secretary Zahid Kazi, publicity and publication secretary Ariful Islam Arif, cultural secretary Saiful Islam Khan, executive members Arif Chowdhury Palash, Abul Kashem Azad and many others.
