Rangpur District BNP Member Secretary Anisur Rahman Laku passed away due to a heart attack. (Inna-Lillahi wa Inna Lillahi Rajiun.)

Anisur Rahman Laku was 53 years old at the time of his death. He was the father of two daughters from his married life.
According to party and family sources, the district BNP is scheduled to hold a conference on October 14. On the occasion of that conference, Anisur Rahman Laku fell ill on his way back to Rangpur from Dhaka after party work. He was later admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra, where he breathed his last at 7:10 am.
Anisur Rahman Laku, a resident of Nurpur in Rangpur city, joined BNP politics through student politics. He was the president of the district Chhatra Dal, general secretary of the district Jubo Dal, associate organizing secretary of the central Jubo Dal, and organizing secretary of the metropolitan BNP. He was last nominated as member secretary in the district BNP committee in 2022.
Anisur Rahman Laku was a candidate for the post of general secretary at the conference on October 14 and was seeking party nomination for the Rangpur Sadar 3 constituency in the national election.
