Panchagarh, October 4, 2025 : A reception was given to 74 meritorious students of Panchagarh who got admission in various universities, medical colleges and engineering colleges. At the same time, 8 medical officers who received recommendations in BCS were also given this reception.
The reception was organized by the 'Dhaka University Family in Panchagarh' and 'Samakal Suhrid Sambalpur' at the Panchagarh Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Zakir Hossain was the chief guest. Professor Imran Al Amin, President of the Dhaka University Family Organization in Panchagarh, presided over the event. Shahidul Islam, General Secretary of the two organizations, delivered the welcome speech.
Among others, pediatrician Dr. Monowarul Islam, Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Afroza Begum Reena, retired college teacher Maqbul Hossain and senior media worker Shahidul Islam Shahid spoke.
In his speech as the chief guest, UNO Zakir Hossain said, "Today, the children of Panchagarh are getting admission in various higher educational institutions of the country, some are passing BCS and contributing at the national level. This is a matter of pride for our district. This success of the students will inspire others. We want the successful students to work for the welfare of the country and people with competence and honesty."
On this day, the guests presented roses and crests to each of the meritorious students.
