Traffic awareness program for students in Rangpur
Rangpur, November 9, 2025 : A special program was held in Rangpur to increase traffic awareness among school and college students.
The Rangpur Metropolitan Police Traffic Division organized this program at the district school grounds today, Sunday, around 2 pm.
Rangpur Metropolitan Police DC Traffic Limon Roy was present as the chief guest at the program.
He told students and parents that road safety is everyone's responsibility. It is important to know whether the driver has a valid license before getting into a vehicle. It is important to stop these risky behaviors such as buying something from a floating shop on the side of the road while moving or stopping the vehicle in the middle of the road to pick up and drop off passengers. Everyone should play a role in increasing traffic awareness from their respective positions.
He also said that parents must use helmets while bringing and taking their children to and from educational institutions. Obeying traffic laws is not only an obligation, it is also a guarantee of safety for oneself and others.
TI (Admin) Abu Raihan Siddique, Faruk Hossain, Golam Rabbani and Keramat Ali and Sergeants Ashrafuzzaman and Morshed Alam were also present at the event.
Rangpur District School Principal Abdul Majid, teachers, more than 800 students and their guardians participated in the program.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of making students aware of traffic laws from an early age.
