Noor Mohammad Mondal returns to Jatiya Party

Former MP Nur Mohammad Mondal, a familiar face in the politics of Pirganj, Rangpur, has changed parties again. After the Jatiya Party, BNP and Awami League, he has joined the Jatiya Party again.
He joined the Jatiya Party by presenting flowers to party co-chairman Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa at a function organized at the party office on Central Road in Rangpur city on Sunday (December 14) night. Jatiya Party Presidium Member and Rangpur District Jatiya Party President Ajmal Hossain Lebu was present at the time.
Noor Mohammad Mondal was elected as a member of parliament from Rangpur-6 (Pirganj) constituency as a Jatiya Party candidate in the 1996 national parliamentary election.
In the 2001 elections, he was elected to parliament for the second time, defeating Awami League candidate Sheikh Hasina with the plough symbol.
Before the 2008 elections, he joined the BNP and contested with a sheaf of rice, losing to Awami League candidate Sheikh Hasina. Then in 2014, he was elected chairman of Pirganj Upazila Parishad.
He joined the Awami League in 2018. He recently resigned from the Awami League and returned to the Jatiya Party.
Confirming the matter of joining the party, Jatiya Party presidium member and district president Ajmal Hossain Lebu said, "Noor Mohammad Mondal was elected as a member of parliament twice from the Jatiya Party. At different times, for various reasons, he joined other parties but did not hold any active position. Now he has realized his mistake. The son of the family has returned home. We welcomed him and took him home."
