Shihab Ahmed, a young entrepreneur from Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat, has set a unique example of humanity by taking on the responsibility of supporting and educating four helpless children who have no mother and no father.

He learned about the four orphaned children who had been growing up in neglect for a long time from the locals. On Friday, he went to the spot and provided immediate cash assistance and announced that he would take full responsibility for their future. Seeing the reality of the children's miserable lives and seeing the light of hope in their eyes and faces after many days, he was overcome with emotion.

According to local sources, Shapla Begum, wife of Shafiul Islam of Munshipara in Fakirpara Union of the upazila, first gave birth to a daughter about eleven years ago. Three years later, she gave birth to three children together - two daughters and a son. Shapla Begum died just two months after giving birth. After that, Shafiul went to Dhaka and got married for the second time and stopped looking after his four children.

Currently, the four children are being looked after by their elderly grandparents, Abed Ali and Shahida Begum. Despite living in poverty, they have not abandoned these children.

Abed Ali said, "There is no trace of my son. I spend my days struggling with the children. No one helps me. Today, Shihab has taken all the responsibilities, may God bless him."

Sahida Begum said, "I work in people's homes and somehow make ends meet. If Shihab hadn't come today, I might have had to go without food." Shihab Ahmed could not control himself after hearing about the suffering of the children. He broke down in emotion. Wiping away tears, he said, "I lost my mother when I was young. I know very well what the suffering of orphans is."

Neighbors said that Shihab is being praised in the area after this humanitarian incident. Shihab Ahmed has brought a new light of hope to the lives of these four children who have been neglected for years.

Shihab Ahmed said, "From today, I have taken all their responsibilities. I will pay all their expenses every month. Everyone please pray for me."
