Visitors flock to Rangpur Zoo to see two tiger cubs, King and Queen

Two cubs have been born to the Royal Bengal Tiger Romeo and Juliet couple at Rangpur Zoo. They have been named Raja and Rani. Three months after their birth, the zoo authorities have officially opened the zoo to visitors. And the crowd of visitors to see these two cubs is increasing every day.
According to zoo sources, Rangpur Zoo is one of the two government zoos in the country. Since the weather here is suitable for breeding, various rare species of animals are bred in this Rangpur Zoo. Tigers, bears, lions, deer and hippos, along with various species of birds, have already been bred in Rangpur Zoo. According to authorities, several cubs have been born at Rangpur Zoo since it opened in 1991. The cubs that were born have been sent as gifts to several countries, including Dhaka Zoo.
Royal Bengal Tiger Romeo and Juliet's home was lit up three months ago when two cubs were born. The cubs have been named Raja and Rani. Since birth, the two cubs of the Royal Bengal Tiger have been taken care of with special care by the zoo authorities. The cubs are kept separate from their mother Juliet so that they can drink their mother's milk in peace. During this time, father Romeo was kept separate for these three months. They are also provided with very careful and important medical care. After 3 months of intensive care, the cubs were reunited with their parents on Sunday, December 21. Meanwhile, a huge crowd of visitors from different districts of the division has been seen at the Rangpur Zoo to see the two cubs of the Royal Bengal Tiger Romeo and Juliet couple. Ignoring the cold, Children with their parents from different areas have come to see the cubs. Numerous parents have come to see the tiger cubs with their children. The number of visitors for the two cubs has increased several times from before. The king and queen are also very happy to see the parents together in the big cage. The visitors are enjoying the running around of the two cubs and the fighting with the parents. The children are happy to see the tiger cubs. The two tiger cubs, with their tusks, have become a source of entertainment for the visitors. Shahina Sultana, who came from Lalmonirhat to see the tiger cubs, said that she came with her two sons and daughters to see the two tiger cubs. She said that she feels very happy to see the two Royal Bengal tiger cubs in the cage. The children are also happy. However, she has also requested the authorities to raise the two cubs in Rangpur through proper care and nurturing. Similarly, Matiar Rahman from Chilmari, Kurigram, came with his only daughter to see the two tiger cubs. She is very happy to see the tiger cubs.
Humayun Kabir Manik from Shalban area of Rangpur city came with his entire family. It feels good to see the tiger cubs. He said that they like the way the cubs are playing. Like Humayun Kabir Manik, Kamrul Hasan Titu came with his nephew and niece to see the cubs. He is also happy to see the cubs.
Rangpur Zoo's lessee Hazrat Ali said, "By the grace of God, the two tiger cubs are doing well. They are being taken special care of. Visitors are coming to see the two tiger cubs, ignoring the extreme cold. The curator is working on how to enrich the zoo with animals and birds for the visitors. Hopefully, giraffes will be brought to the zoo in a few days."
Rangpur Zoo doctor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, the Royal Bengal Tiger couple had been pregnant twice before but the babies were lost due to miscarriage. Therefore, special care was taken this time. Regular care was taken. As a result, the couple gave birth to two cubs. Alhamdulillah, the two cubs are doing well. Since it is winter, they are being taken care of separately.
It is worth noting that although the Rangpur Zoo was established in 1989, it was opened in 1991. 23 species of animals were exhibited at the time of opening. Currently, there are about 250 animals of 27 species in the zoo. Notable among these are the Bengal tiger, lion, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, deer, monkey, leopard, bear, crocodile, python, turtle, myna, tiya, peacock, cockatoo, pigeon, and various species of birds including bucks from the Sundarbans.
