Blankets distributed among cold-stricken people in Lalmonirhat
Lalmonirhat, January 12, 2026: Blankets have been distributed among the cold-stricken and distressed people in Lalmonirhat.
This information was given in a press release by Battalion 15 BGB on Monday afternoon.
According to a press release, a winter clothing distribution program was held at the Mogolhat Government Primary School grounds at 10 am today at a joint initiative of Lalmonirhat Battalion (15 BGB) and Shimanto Bank Lalmonirhat branch. 270 blankets were distributed among the cold-stricken and helpless people in the program.
Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam, Commanding Officer of Lalmonirhat Battalion (15 BGB), was present as the chief guest at the event.
He said, "Along with maintaining border security, Border Guard Bangladesh has always been fulfilling its humanitarian responsibilities by standing by the helpless and distressed people of the society. Such initiatives are very necessary and significant to alleviate the suffering of the poor during the winter season."
He also said that the BGB will continue its social welfare and humanitarian activities in the future as well.
