Police-magistracy conference held in Rangpur
Rangpur, January 18, 2026 : A police-magistrate conference has been held to speed up the investigation and trial of criminal cases in the district and to conduct the activities of the Judicial Magistrate Courts more smoothly.
The conference was held at the conference room of the Rangpur Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning. Various issues related to the activities of all the courts under the jurisdiction of the Judicial Magistrate of the district were discussed and views were exchanged.
The conference was attended by the district's Senior District and Sessions Judge Fazle Khoda Md. Najib as the chief guest. The conference was presided over by the district's Chief Judicial Magistrate Md. Ershad Ali. The district's Superintendent of Police Md. Marufat Hussain participated in the event as a special guest.
The speakers said that the Police-Magistracy Conference creates effective coordination and bridges between the police and the judiciary. It is possible to remove existing obstacles through mutual discussion and cooperation. This will further accelerate the investigation and trial process.
They also said that regular dialogue with all stakeholders in the judiciary will make it easier to ensure the right of the common man to access justice.
