Published: 16 February 2026 : A total of 17 lakh 21 thousand 328 voters exercised their voting rights in the six constituencies of Rangpur in the 13th National Parliament election. Of these, 40 thousand 279 votes were canceled. The total number of voters in these constituencies is 25 lakh 99 thousand 202. Of these, 13 lakh 6 thousand 333 are female voters and 12 lakh 92 thousand 838 are male voters. There are 31 transgender voters. Voters exercised their voting rights on February 12 through a total of 873 centers in the district.

The unofficial results announced by the Returning Officer and Rangpur Deputy Commissioner show that the total number of voters in Rangpur-1 (Gangachara) constituency is 375227. 228457 people voted. The voter turnout in this constituency is 60.89 percent. 5313 votes were canceled. The total number of voters in Rangpur-2 (Taraganj-Badarganj) constituency is 380921. 261846 people voted. The voter turnout in this constituency is 68.74 percent. 5643 votes were canceled. The total number of voters in Rangpur-3 (Sadar) constituency is 508223. 324795 people voted. The voter turnout in this constituency is 63.91 percent. The number of canceled votes is 7203. The total number of voters in Rangpur-4 (Pirgachha-Kaunia) constituency is 509906. 338314 people voted. The voter turnout in this constituency is 66.35 percent. The number of canceled votes is 8263. The total number of voters in Rangpur-5 (Mithapukur) constituency is 469189. 320489 voters voted. The voter turnout in this constituency is 66.35 percent. The number of invalid votes is 8405. The total number of voters in Rangpur-6 (Pirganj) constituency is 355735. 247427 voters exercised their right to vote. The voter turnout in this constituency is 69.55 percent. The number of invalid votes is 5452. The number of invalid votes in these 6 constituencies is 40279. The defeated BNP candidates in Rangpur-4 and Rangpur-6 constituencies have objected to the invalid votes. Since the elections, the defeated BNP candidates in these two constituencies have been protesting demanding a recount of the votes. According to the returning officer, according to the unofficial results announced by the district returning officer in Rangpur-4 constituency, Jatiya Nagorik Party-NCP candidate Akhtar Hossain Shapla has been elected with 1,49,966 votes under the Kali symbol. He defeated his nearest rival by a margin of 9,402 votes. BNP candidate Emdadul Haque Borsa received 1,40,564 votes. 8,263 votes were cancelled in this constituency. On the other hand, Nurul Islam, the candidate of the 11-party alliance in Rangpur-6 constituency, was elected with 120,128 votes under the scale symbol. He won with 2,425 more votes. His nearest rival, Saiful Islam of BNP, received 117,703 votes. 5,452 votes were canceled in this constituency.
