Bangladesh will never be the same again: Relief Minister Dulu


 Published: 21 February 2026 : Bangladesh will not run as before - Commenting on the situation, Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu said, 'If things had run as before, so many ideologies, suicidal tendencies and movements would not have arisen. The people of the country sent BNP to power with the desire for change.'

The minister visited his constituency Lalmonirhat-3 for the first time after assuming office on Friday at 4 pm. He made these remarks while exchanging greetings with the general public at the Shaheed Abul Kashem College grounds in Barabari as the chief guest. He said, despite various incidents and conspiracies before and on the election day, the right decision was finally made. "Understanding this reality, we have to be more tolerant, especially the people of Barabari."

The minister said that he got the opportunity to serve at the national level due to the prayers and love of the people of this region. He mentioned that it is a matter of honor for the people of the entire area, including Barabari, to be one of 49 people, including 25 ministers and 24 state ministers, out of about 4,500 unions in the country.

He expressed his gratitude to the party's top leadership and the common people and said, 'As a worker who grew up in a village, I will work with the utmost sincerity to protect the dignity of the trust and confidence that has been given to me.'
At this time, he expressed his gratitude to party chairman Tarique Rahman. He also remembered former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

The minister further said that this honor is not just personal; it is the honor of the people of the entire region. “It is easy to get responsibility, but it is difficult to hold it. There are many challenges ahead. As your representative, my main goal will be to work for the welfare of the people,” he said. At the end of his speech, he sought everyone's prayers and cooperation in carrying out his duties.

At that time, district BNP vice-president Yasin Ali Mollah, joint general secretary AKM Mominul Haque, deputy joint general secretary ABM Faruk Siddiqui, municipal BNP president Afzal Hossain, district Jubo Dal convener Anisur Rahman, Barabari Union chairman Nazmul Huda Limon, and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present.
