Rangpur City Press Club holds Iftar and Doa Mahfil


Staff Reporter 17March 20267 : On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Rangpur City Press Club held an Iftar and Doa Mahfil. The Iftar Mahfil was held at a local hotel in the city yesterday. The chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil was Rangpur Sadar 3 constituency MP Mahbubur Rahman Belal. City Press Club President Swapan Chowdhury presided over the event, and the following spoke: Dainik Juger Alo publisher and editor Momtaz Shirin Bhorsa, Sujan Mahanagar President Advocate Jobaidul Islam Bullet, Rangpur Journalists Union President Salequzzaman Salek, and Reporters Club Acting President Mohammad Nuruzzaman. Bangladesh Betar Rangpur's regional news controller Rashed Faisal Kabir, co-news controller Biplob Nazir, district Sujon president Fakhrul Anam Benju, general secretary of Journalists Union Rangpur Mazhar Mannan, director of Rangpur Chamber Rashidus Sultan Bablu, president of Pirganj Press Club Mazharul Alam Milon, general secretary Habibur Rahman, life member of City Press Club Antar Rahman, joint general secretary of the club Tariqul Islam Tarek were present. City Press Club Rangpur's general secretary Humayun Kabir Manik, senior vice president SM Khalil Babu delivered the welcome speech, and City Press Club Rangpur's treasurer Rezaul Karim Jibon moderated the event.

Mahbubur Rahman Belal, MP from Rangpur Sadar-3 constituency, said, "After being elected as an MP, I am not a member of any particular party. I am an MP for everyone. My vow is to serve everyone equally. I am impressed by participating in the prayer and iftar mahfil organized by the City Press Club. Where leaders of all journalist organizations of the divisional city of Rangpur participated. Such an event is more necessary to keep the bond of unity among ourselves intact."

Apart from journalists, civil society leaders were present at the Iftar and Doa Mahfil at the City Press Club, Rangpur.
