Women's Football Day organized in Rangpur on Women's Day

In a festive atmosphere, the AFC and the Football Federation organized Women's Football Day with female footballers from remote areas of Rangpur on the occasion of International Women's Day. In addition, the Sadyapuskurni Jubo Sporting Club organized age-based fun games with female footballers.

Women's Football Day was organized at the Sadyapuskurni Mini Stadium in Sadar Upazila on Sunday (March 8) afternoon. At the beginning of the event, the District Football Association President and Head of Delegation Manjur Ahmed Azad inaugurated the age-based games.



In his opening speech, he said, "Sadyapuskurni is the home of women's football in Rangpur. Such an event there has made our Rangpur proud. Through this event, women's football in this region will move forward further. Because our main goal is to find new talented players. The club and the District Football Association are working together with that goal."

Sadyapuskarini Jubo Sporting Club CO Zahir Alam Nayan said, "We have been working around this club for a long time. Our girls have performed well in this league. We will try to form a team with more modern and skilled players next season." Sadyapuskarini Jubo Sporting Club President Milon Mia said, "Bangladesh Football Federation is playing an important role in the development of women's football. In particular, the chairman of the women's committee, Mahfuza Akhter Kiran, is working closely with grassroots girls. Today's event has created a vibrant and inspiring environment for women footballers."

Club advisor Harun Ur Rashid said, "We stand by the girls and are trying to take the club further, so that a rich pipeline of strong players is created in the future."

Senior Joint Convener of the Metropolitan Youth League and CO of Sadyapuskarini Youth Sporting Club Muhammad Zahir Alam Nayan, Rangpur Metropolitan Youth League member Mamun Parvez, Sadyapuskarini Youth Sporting Club Advisor Harun Ur Rashid, Sadyapuskarini Youth Sporting Club Manager Milan Mia, Head Coach Shamim Khan Miskin, Media Officer Sunny, Assistant Coach Ranu were present at the event.

Finally, the guests distributed certificates among the club's female footballers of different ages.

It is worth noting that around 130 female players participated in the day-long event held at Palichada Stadium in Rangpur. The event aims to promote women's football and find new talent at the grassroots level.
