Own Correspondent: The general meeting of Gitikabi Sangsad Rangpur, an organization of lyricists listed on Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television, has been held. The general meeting was held at the expeditionary office in the city's Town Hall Square on Tuesday evening. The general meeting was presided over by Matiar Rahman, convener of the convening committee of Gitikabi Sangsad Rangpur region. Member Secretary Belayet Hossain delivered the welcome speech. The organization's advisor, veteran lyricist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, veteran lyricist Anwarul Islam Raju, and composer and vocalist Shahil Farhan Lyon delivered guiding speeches at the general meeting.


The general meeting presented the income, expenditure and activities of the previous day and unanimously approved them. The entire program was hosted by Rezaul Karim Jiban.

Then, the general meeting unanimously formed a 21-member executive committee with Professor Dr. Shariful Islam Mandal as the president and journalist Rezaul Karim Jiban as the general secretary for the next two years. The other members of the committee are, Senior Vice President Sunil Sarkar, Vice President Belayet Hossain, Vice President Matiar Rahman, Joint General Secretary Zahid Hossain, Joint General Kamruzzaman Dishari, Organizing Secretary Safura Khatun, Co-Organizing Secretary Kamrun Laila JC, Treasurer Masum Morshed, Cultural Secretary Kamrun Nahar Renu, Publicity and Publication Secretary Purnima Raj, Social Welfare Secretary Ajmal Hossain, Information and Communication Secretary Harun Or Rashid and Office Secretary Kalyan Chandra Shil. The executive members of the committee are SM Khalil Babu, Panchanan Roy, Shafiqul Islam Shafi, Manzil Murad Lavlu, Hafizul Islam Hafiz, Sultan Ahmed Sona.

The advisory lyricists are Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, AKM Mostafizur Rahman, Anwarul Islam Raju, Rafiqul Islam Rais, Professor Shafiqul Islam, Bashar Ibne Zahur, KM Ali Samrat, freedom fighter Fazlul Haque, Satyen Roy, Mahbub Rahman, Mashiul Alam Chowdhury Montu, Brajgopal Roy, Amitabh Das Himun, Touhidul Islam.
