One arrested with illegally stored TCB products recovered in Rangpur
Published: 28 February 2026 : Detective police have recovered a large quantity of TCB products in Rangpur that were stored for sale in the black market instead of being sold through trucks and sales. During this time, TCB dealer Rubel Islam was arrested.
A large quantity of TCB products was recovered from a godown adjacent to the city's Station Oil Depot on Saturday (February 28) afternoon. Police said that TCB dealer Rubel Islam was illegally stockpiling the products for later sale at higher prices in the black market instead of selling them through truck sales. Based on information provided by the National Security Agency (NSI) and TCB, the Rangpur Metropolitan Detective Police conducted a raid. During the raid, 150 kg of sugar, 70 kg of dates, 163 liters of soybean oil, 613 kg of lentil and 150 kg of chickpea were recovered from an abandoned godown adjacent to the city's station oil depot. During the raid, dealer Rubel Islam was arrested for illegally stockpiling TCB products.
Rangpur Metropolitan DB Police DC Sanatan Chakraborty said that dealer Rubel Islam has been arrested under the Special Powers Act on charges of illegally stockpiling TCB products. A case against him is under process.
